A parcel is cheaper but the journey may take longer and the extras of recorded or special delivery are not available. The Royal Mail carry parcels weighing up to 20 kg, the price for parcels weighing above 10 kg is between £14.69 and £18.19. The difference depends on the level of compensation required if the parcel is lost of damaged (up to £500 compensation is available).
